Refunds & Exchanges
Highland Scottish offers a full exchange on most of our items as long as they are returned within 10 days of being received. There are no exchanges or refunds on the following items:
- Custom Rings – we will try our best to work with you to resolve any issues
- Custom Made Jackets
- Custom Made Vests
- Custom Made Kilts
- Clan Crest Items
- Anything else that specific measurements are taken
- Tartan
- Custom Bagpipes
All sales on the items mentioned above are final, and non-negotiable.
When returning for an exchange or refund, please include a note in the parcel stating what you would like done with your return (exchange for a size up or down, different items all together). Your credit card information must also be present in the parcel (for return shipping on exchanged goods), as once your order is originally shipped, we do not have ready access to your card details. Please note: We do not refund shipping charges in any case. If you are an international customer please mark on the outside of the parcel being returned, “RETURNING CANADIAN GOODS ZERO (0) VALUE” and ship using your national post service. Straying from this may induce custom charges on Highland Scottish which will then be passed onto you.
Shipping & Rates
Highland Scottish attempts to give you an accurate estimate as to what your shipping charges will be however there may be an incident where the shipping charge is more than estimated on site, however there are also many cases where your shipping is lower than the estimated amount, and so your shipping rates are adjusted accordingly. Canada Post is our primary shipping company used, and like other shipping companies they bill for the greater of volumetric weight (length x width x height = volume), or actual weight and so when buying a light but bulky items (eg. pipe case) your shipping rate will unfortunately go up, as it will be the volumetric weight being billed for. If you don’t feel comfortable about Canada Post handling your order you may request us to use FedEx or Purolator, however we cannot be held responsible for the fee of such couriers. Rentals are always dispatched via FedEx. We will bill your card when we are shipping the Rental Outfit to you.
Billing & Credit Card Processing
Your credit card will be charged upon placement of order. Upon placing your order, your payment details are stored on PayPal (very secure). Custom kilt orders generally take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, custom rings generally take 3 to 4 weeks, and custom jackets take 8 to 10 weeks. We deliver as soon as possible!
